Why You Can't Save The World.

First things first, it was Dan Kennedy who taught me a long time ago that your responsibility is to deliver value in the information that you sell or for that matter that you share, whether writing, consulting, coaching, product, advice...whatever.

Where you do not have responsibility is what people do with the value you give them. That is a difficult one to live with I know, but quite honestly you can tell a person how to make huge changes in their lives but unless they want it bad enough to take action, it won't happen and there is no one to blame but them for their own inactivity. (Although, it is likely they will blame you for it anyway.)

You have enough on your own plate, fleshing out your life, your business and your direction, taking the responsibility for your own actions and your own situations. If you allow others to steal your power in this way, making you feel bad about their lack of focus and action, you only rob yourself. This is a point of honor. You must honor yourself with a clear conscience about the fact that you delivered value. If you can get to this, you will find the quality of your friends, partners and customers changing for the better.

It's a strange world we live in and human beings can really do odd things. I am constantly amazed at how often people, including even myself at times, will stay in a bad scenario because it is familiar.

I'm not suggesting that you stop reaching out to people, just realize that you can't change the world. People only change when they want to. Own your own responsibility for your life and let everyone else mind their business.

Do You Want To Change The World Right Now?

All the talk these days is how messed up the world is. Have you heard?
Crime rates, bad economies, war, poison in the food, bad pharmaceuticals the list goes on and on.

For many people, reflecting on the good ole days is not only common but habitual. What was it that made the good ole days so much better than now?

I'll give you a list of things you can do starting tomorrow that can literally change our world if you implement them. I'd like to see this list get passed around to the 4 corners of the earth. Paradise is not something we have to wait till we die to see, we can have it right here. Ok, here goes.

Tomorrow evening after work, walk next door to your neighbors house and knock on their door. If you know them, just tell them you're stopping by to see how they are doing. If you don't know them, introduce yourself and let them know you're glad to meet them. Why people stopped doing this in our current age is remarkable.

Smile at everyone you see and say good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Very simple stuff here and it costs nothing.

If you see something happening in your neighborhood or out in town that shouldn't be, call the police and report it. It takes 5 minutes and could save someone their property, or maybe even thier life.

Hug your family and tell them you love them every single day. You never know when you'll never see them again, it's important to live without regret.

If you notice your neighbors grass it too tall, don't call the homeowner's association. Instead, bake a pie or a hot meal, knock on their door, ask them if they are ok, feed them, then cut their front yard for them.

Let someone go in front of you in traffic at least once per day. Smile at them as you wave them on.

Be eager to learn about what makes people different and appreciate the fascinating background they have the privilage of sharing. Embrace those differences and realize this is exactly what makes living in the world so exciting.

When you get your pay at the end of the week, hold out 10% and put it into a savings account for your future. Always do this before paying any other bill. Planning for your future is something only you can do.

Give 10% of your pay to someone, something, or some cause that makes the world a better place. This could be a meal to someone homeless, a jacket for that kid who is shivering at the bus stop you pass every morning or a foundation for a wide variety of causes.

Live within your means. Don't charge up credit cards trying to be bigger than you are. The only one that needs to keep score is you, and running up credit puts those points in the bank, not on your leader board.

Spend no less than an hour a day with your children or spouse. This is what life is all about, and it isn't something you do someday when you have the time. Make the time!

Just these simple changes in your life can make a big difference. All of them are easy to do, but most of them are things we aren't doing anymore. If we all started doing them, we could literally change the world.

Don't use excuses like, well I'd do this but my neighbors are hispanic or black or jewish or white. Don't even go there. Don't worry about if your neighbor is gay or straight. Sexual preference only matters if you want to sleep with someone. Christ said, Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self. He didn't say love thy black neighbor, white neighbor, Christian neighbor, Muslim neighbor, rich neighbor or poor neighbor. He said Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self. Imagine if we all did simply that? Can anyone of any creed, race, religion, sexual preference, economic status or otherwise dispute the power of it?

There is one race, it's called the human race. There is one world. We all live in it.
There is one you and YOU can make a difference.

Thanks for listening, now get busy, WE HAVE A WORLD TO CHANGE.

Success: Will You Still Find It A Hard Climb In 2008?

Everyone seems to chase the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We want more money, love, time, sex, power, health, beauty. The list goes on and on doesn't it?

I'm not one to watch tv, but on the occassion that I do, I hear the fear mongers passing out the bad news for free, the economy is failing, the war is failing, the criminals are at the door ready to rape, murder or abduct anyone. We get brief interruptions from this entourage of crap by a commercial that promises us an easy route to wealth, a quick magic pill to look young, thin and beautiful, dating lines for every sexual orientation, everyone saying look how bad the world is, and then look how we can fix it.

It's revolting isn't it?

I'm turning 39 years old next month. Gaining ground on 40 is both exciting and terrifying in the same instant. Time really doesn't slow down, and it darn well seems like each year it speeds up. Do you feel this way as well?

When we think about time and age, we start thinking about where we've been, what we've accomplished and where we want to be. I think more often than not we aren't there yet. Do you feel this way too?

I've come to the realization that more often than not, it isn't a lack of information that we're dealing with. We get plenty of that don't we? Too much huh?

If we have enough information then what is it that's stopping us? Why haven't we reached the pinnacle of our own idea of success? Maybe you just want to get from a minimum wage job to a real career. Maybe you want to get out of a bad marriage and find someone who loves and respects you. Maybe you want to go from 1 million a year in your business to 10 million. Whatever it is, the answer seems always to be just out of grasp. Can you relate?

As I've spent most of my life now studying synchronicity, I've noted that there are some out there who always seem to be in the right place at the right time. They are prepared when an opportunity comes up and they recognize that opportunity when it arrives. This is really the core of synchronicity. This is being in the right place at the right time and doing what it takes to make it work.

Damn, I hate that everyone can't achieve what they want to in their lives. I watched my father chase his dream half heartedly. He died broken. His mind succumbed to alzheimer's and he never got to enjoy his idea of success. It wasn't a mansion and a yacht. It was a simple farm house in the mountains where he could spend his days hunting and fishing.

I've managed to figure out some of this time and timing stuff. I really have. Wouldn't you like to know the secret to always being in the right place at the right time? Call it synchronicity, coincidence, luck...whatever it is, it can make the difference you've been searching for. It's that mystery ingredient that makes everything else work out just so.

Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Do you want to finally make your mark in the world?

I'm not playing around anymore. I've already achieved some things, but you know once you climb one mountain, there is the next and the next. Let's give destiny a swift kick in the rear and start making things happen this year. I want to look back on this post and remember all of the comments I got about how you and everyone else reading this read it, and took it to heart. I want to remember how you told me that you made this your year, that you grabbed the brass ring and you went for the gold.

That's why I want to help you succeed. It makes me feel accomplished in one of my biggest goals to hear when what I do has helped someone, someone just like you that isn't where they want to be, but then acted and got there.

This year, right now, I want you to take a stand. You'll do it won't you? I know you must be the quality of person who says,"No more, I won't take life lying down."

Do yourself the service of signing up right here for my free digital magazine, Synchronicity In Your Life. But listen, don't do it if you'll just sign up and never read it. I'm not sitting here keeping the notches on my bedpost for how many people sign up. I'd rather have 2 subscribers that do something with this priceless information than a million that won't. I don't want any credit for your success, you'll know if something said in the magazine helped you.

I've brought in 7 experts that all feel the same way. 7 human beings that have an understanding of what it takes to make a great life. We're working together to change the world one person at a time. No, we aren't here to save you. We want you to save yourself. You're ready aren't you? Is it synchronicity that you read this post right now? Is this your destiny calling out to you? Will you miss a critical turning point if you don't seize this moment? Only time will tell. It's easy to say yes, even easier to say no. That's why so many live lives of silent mediocrity and go to their graves saying "what if?" You won't let that happen to you will you?

Time and Timing: It's Ron Paul For President Right Now!

My stance as the Synchronicity Expert is that everything to do with destiny is about time and timing, this is synchronicity, the right metaphorical or symbolic nudges at the right time leading you forward to your destiny. You know I believe we all have a purpose and I don't believe that everyone fulfills it. Being a bountiful universe I believe that God has an "ideal" for each of us and it is up to us to act on that potential. When it comes to the state of affairs in the United States I see a great cause for concern. I feel we have moved away from the America that I grew up with, where as a kid I knew everyone in a 4 block radius in a city no less, and I was safe wherever I went. I miss the days of being able to really "make it" on the pay you got. I miss the times when crime was punished rather than encouraged and when customer service really meant something. America is in trouble, anyone who can't see that is either blind or to hard headed to look at it. I think we have one final hope to turn it around before our children grow up in the devastation that follows the fall of a great empire. My vote for the last, best hope for the United States is a man whose talk is more than just talk and his walk is verifiable from his past track record. That man is none other than Ron Paul. I don't care if you're a democrat, republican, you vote for the issues or you just don't vote, if you love America and want it the same way we had it for the next generation, I strongly recommend you take a serious look at Ron Paul as a solution.

New Course On Sales Training Is A Smash Hit

A close friend has developed a course on selling called Selling At The Next Level that is hands down the most effective sales training I've ever seen. This isn't a pep rally or techniques in persuasion, but rather a course that brings in the dynamic of the individual customer's psychological makeup to make it incredibly easy to close them.

If you're a salesperson or a business owner who isn't closing 2 out of 3 I'd highly recommend you take a look. Best of all, it's free.

All the best!

Finally A Scientific Miracle:Stem Cell Breakthrough Uses No Embryos

I read this story and thought it would be a great thing to share. Here are my feelings about it and the controversy of the posts below the original AOL story.

There was a photo shown on AOL a few years ago of a baby getting surgery in the first trimester. That baby was reaching out its hand to grab the scalpel. This was enough to prove to me that an "embryo" is very much a real person. The picture was pulled very quickly and I'm sure I know why, people having agendas as they do. Calling an unborn child an embryo is no different then calling someone a racial slur. It is meant to demean and discredit that person's existence and validity by the use of a word. In this era we could do well to learn the value of all life, born or unborn, regardless of race, creed, religion or origin.

That said, I believe in the sanctity of life. I do not support stem cell research involving embryos, but this breakthrough is a wonderful thing because we have the capacity now to work with one miracle without defiling another.

People who compromise value to achieve results are nothing more than lacking in character and just plain lazy.

My salute to the scientists for breaking through this obstacle so that now we may be able to not only save life, but without giving up a part of our soul to do it.

Do You Have Trouble Dealing With Negative People?

The check out lady at the grocery store snaps at you, "C'mon lady I haven't got all day," as you fumble for your debit card. The teenager flips you off as he nearly broadsides you in traffic because you weren't driving as fast as he would like.

Let's face it, no matter how spiritual you strive to be, there will be those you encounter that will knock you right off center. People will thoughtlessly fun over your feelings and lash out in anger. For some, this takes an emotional toll. My ex-wife would sometimes have experiences like this and be saddened by it for an entire day. I must admit being an Amiable personality type, I've even been plagued at times by bouts of despair over the harsh way people can be as well.

But don't worry, I have a solution! You see, I was reminded by the words of Jesus. He said, "Forgive them for they know not what they do." One day, this struck me. You know I started finding compassion for these angry people. I began to imagine what their reality must be like to lash out in such ways. Can you just imagine? Obviously people don't act this way when they have lives full of love and success. This got me thinking about just what was causing the anger in the first place.

I began a different approach. I must admit when I was younger I was the type to react. At one time I considered having the word KARMA tattooed across my knuckles. This may give you some indication of how I thought best to deal with it at the time.
Now, however, I realize that when someone lashes out in anger and you react with fear or anger in response, you are in effect giving your power away to that person.

So I started looking at these people when they behaved this way and telling them, "I forgive you." Sometimes they never heard it..zipping by at 95 miles an hour in a car on a cell phone, the words dissipated into the ether without a single notice from them. Other times, these simple words produced the most profound effect. There have been times when I've said this that I saw an incredible look on the person's face. A jarring disbelief, confusion, as if I'd just showed them a glimpse of the almighty himself. There have been occassions, when after repeating these words 2 or 3 times, the person has actually broken down and began to cry. This is perfect, it causes them to release their pain.

This is the secret of angry people. They are acting out of pain. When we forgive them we open a pressure valve and that pain is released. We give them comfort, and what's best, when they least expect it.

I encourage you to try this. You don't have to accept the responsibility for another person's pain. This is the con people try to play, it's called the shotgun blame game. They are in pain and looking to blame and they randomly direct it in all in their path.

A friend of mine was a healer, and he used to say, "If someone attacks me, I take that as permission to heal them." Forgiveness is an incredible cure for pain, and it allows you to keep your power at the same time.

All the best!
